About

Building the infrastructure for online dispute resolution in the UK.

A UK company writing quiet, structured software for the people who resolve disputes for a living.

Mission

Better tools for dispute work.

Kestrel exists because UK dispute professionals do serious work with tools nobody designed for them. Inboxes, attachments, spreadsheets: the infrastructure of a different problem, applied to one it never fit.

We give those professionals a venue that matches the seriousness of their work. Structured. Evidenced. Defensible. Quiet enough to stay out of the way, strict enough to keep the record honest.

Who we serve

UK firms, mediators, and dispute professionals.

Kestrel is built for the UK legal services audience first. Solicitors handling small claims and fast-track matters. Independent mediators running pre-action and post-action negotiation. In-house teams managing a steady flow of contract, employment and supplier disputes.

They share one need: a place to run the matter that is as organised as the people running it.

The team

A small founding team.

A small founding team builds Kestrel, with backgrounds at the edges of legal technology. We have watched the same pattern repeat for years: skilled practitioners, large volumes of dispute work, tools that never quite fit. We are here to change it.

We keep the team small on purpose. The people writing the code talk to the firms using it, and they intend to keep doing so for as long as we can manage.

Where we are

Building, carefully.

The platform is under active development. A small cohort of UK firms and mediators is helping us validate the workflow, the record model, and the details that turn a piece of software into something a regulated practice can trust.

We do not rush growth. The work we do now sets the standard Kestrel will be judged on later: the quality of the record, the clarity of the workflow, the seriousness of the integrations.
