Why we started
The tools were built for something else.
UK dispute professionals do careful work on software nobody designed for them. A matter lives across an inbox, a shared drive and somebody's memory. When a client asks what happened in March, you go and rebuild it.
Kestrel gives that work a venue. Every submission, document and decision lands in one place, timestamped and sealed, so you answer the question by opening the case rather than reconstructing it.
What we make
Two products, one platform.
Kestrel Disputes serves solicitors and dispute professionals running civil and commercial matters: small claims and fast track, contract and supplier disputes, professional negligence, debt recovery on the protocol. The firm acts for its client, and the platform runs the process around them.
Kestrel Mediation serves mediation practices, where the mediator acts for nobody. That one difference reaches far enough into the software to need its own product, so we are building one. Civil, commercial and workplace mediation come first, with family work in 2027.
Both run on the same tenancy model, the same security model and the same record. That shared foundation is the only reason a team this size can maintain two products at once.
The team
A small team, on purpose.
There are two of us. The person writing the code is the person you speak to, and we would like to keep it that way for as long as the work allows.
We are not trying to grow quickly. Firms hand us the record of their matters, and that is worth taking time over.
Where we are
Building, carefully.
Kestrel Disputes is built and in testing. Kestrel Mediation is in development for winter 2026. Neither is generally available yet.
